How interesting

For the first time in ages, I decided to see what search terms were leading people to my blog. Obviously, most of them were nail or nail polish related. Here are the ones that made me laugh my ass off:

1. Only god can judge me now (that's right, because nail polish bloggers are HARDCORE, bitches)
2. Assnude (Yeah, one word. I have no idea either. I sort of want to use this term a LOT now. Assnude! Assnude! Assnude assnude assnude! Yeeeah!!! My inner 12-year-old is giggling her ass(nude) off now!)
3. Nasty toenails (I TOLD YOU my feet were jacked up!)
4. Butt ugly (Yeah. Butt ugly assnude.)
5. Lissa's Feet (Ok. I've had random strangers on Flickr add pictures of my feet to their favorites before. Usually these people are foot fetishists and go around adding random pictures of feet to their favorites on Flickr. This is just getting creepy. Plus, I have ugly feet.)
6. Lissa Rinna nude (Pretty sure they meant "Lisa." I bet they were sorely disappointed in this blog.)
7. What is apocalypse (Valid search, not sure why my blog shows up on the results... unless my blog is a sign of the apocalypse!)
8. Thick and nasty (Uhhhh... huh huhuhuhhhuhuh. Yeah. That's what SHE said.)
9. Lissa nude (REALLY hope those pics aren't on the internet!)
10. Only god can judge me in Chinese. (So people can judge you in other languages? KICK ASS!)
11. Black vulva (Again... I bet they were disappointed.)
12. Bubble butts galore (More like disappointment galore!)
13. Leprechaun couple (I need to meet these people.)
14. Butt ugly women (Well, opinions are like assholes... I may fit this category!)
15. Only god can judge me in Arabic (Ok, so no Chinese and no Arabic. I'll judge you in Italian, then.)
16. Bacon bubble gum (INTERESTING concept. I wanna try it!)

Okay, I was gonna go to 20, but really, it's a lot of variations of "only god can judge me," "bubble butts," and "leprechauns." WHAT THE HELL. There was also a "nude over 50" in there.

Sorry, I'm not over 50. YET. I will be 32 in 3.5 weeks. CRAP. True story -- I drank excessively the entire day when I turned 30 in 2008. So I woke up the morning of July 15, 2008 and vomited excessively. It was a particularly unpleasant welcome to my 30s, but I was NOT HAPPY about turning 30, not one bit. Now it's okay. I'm happier in my 30s than I ever was in my 20s, I'm more stable both emotionally and financially, and things are okay. But still, nobody likes to get older. :)

And another thing!

Just because I feel like all you people ever see of me is my hands...
(Well, this IS a nail blog, come on!)

Here's a pic of me and my husband... this was at the family dinner the night before we got hitched! Notice the major height difference!

Also, I've lost around ten pounds since then. My goal is thirty by the end of the summer. Maybe if I just buy nail polish instead of food... LOL!

Seriously, you guys

I have NO IDEA if I'm ever going to actually finish wearing all the Icing "black glitters" I bought. I got through three of them. Shitty application, terrible wear. Color me NOT IMPRESSED. I'm so glad I only spent $5 on these on clearance instead of the $16 original price. Really.

Soooo anyhow. Yesterday I bought my wedding dress. It's not a wedding dress-wedding dress, just a white cotton dress. Appropriate for getting married on the beach, I think, and I LOVE it. NOW I just need to decide what polish colors I'm going to wear.

This is what it looks like outside today. Look at that wisteria! Too bad I have a horrible phobia of bees/wasps/flying-stinging-things. It's freaking beautiful!

ALSO today, I dyed my hair bright ass cherry red. Pardon the hair-in-the-face, but I wasn't wearing any makeup.. LOL.

Here is a color I picked up on clearance recently at Sally's. China Glaze "Cherry Pie." It's more of an orange-toned red than what I would normally pick, but this color has been on my toes for a week or two now and I LOVE it on my toes. It's a red jelly with a glass-flecked finish.

I also picked up some Butter London polishes from Hautelook a couple weeks ago because they were $5 apiece. Color me not impressed. I'm seriously glad I only paid $5 for these. I've only tried two of the four I bought. The first one, Swinger, was so bad I ended up just removing it halfway through and putting this one on instead. Not even so much as a picture.
This is Billy No Mates, a very soft grey.

I got bored with that and decided to do a vintage-y half-moon mani, using Zoya Ibiza on top of it. I then prompty destroyed that by doing dishes. I'm trying to slowly shape my nails into more of an oval shape instead of square or squoval. I want more of a vintage look. But it takes time, my nails aren't that long, so I figure I'll eventually get the oval/almond shape I want with regular, proper filing.

In other news, I have a bunch of nail polish I want to give away. Some is new, some is used. I'm thinking of doing a contest to give away the unused stuff, and then maybe just having a free-for-all, first-come-first served thing for the used stuff I want to be rid of. I have too much and I need to destash. I figure for the free-for-all, I'd just want someone to pay shipping, which would depend on how many bottles you got. What do you guys think? Is this a good idea or no? I feel like I'm becoming a hoarder, and I KNOW I'll never wear a lot of the stuff I have.

Randomness!

I did some swatching and photographing today. Why is it that every time I have the time and inclination to do this it looks like this outside?

030

Where is the SUN?!?!

Also, here's something I've been withholding from my readers. When I was out of town last weekend, I went in an Icing, and found the black glitters set on clearance for $5. They were regularly $16! So I snapped those right up! I'm going to wear one a day every workday this week and post the results next weekend.
These are five different colors of glitter in a sheer black base. Whee. Here's a rather terrible picture of the set.

So, we have a special needs cat. He LOVES me. I am his favorite human EVAR. It's okay, I love him too. However, he really, REALLY needed some attention as I was painting my nails today. I finally became amused enough to try to get pictures. They're cool because he was moving around so much he looks like a ghost kitty in some of these!

048

This is when he finally just flopped down on me.
047

And here he is GLARING at me! Demanding attention! Needy cat!

Green of the day and a request for input!

Helloooo! Last night JJ picked out the green from the pastel set from Claire's. Ya know, I really didn't care much for this one when I swatched it, but with careful application and a good topcoat, it's definitely growing on me. Like a fungus.

In other news, I am getting married in 62 days and I need to decide if I'm going to do my own nails or spring for a professional manicure. I'm getting hitched on the beach, barefoot, and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna spring for a professional pedicure since my toes are effing nas-tay. But if I do my own nails... whatever shall I do? What color? Konad? No Konad? Sexy? Innocent? TOO MANY OPTIONS!

Another obsession of mine is BPAL. Granted, I'm not as into BPAL as I was a year or two ago, but it's still there. WHAT PERFUME AM I GONNA WEAR?!? OMG! I hate decisions!

With these types of obsessions, how have I not ended up on Hoarders yet? I joke about that show, but for real, the boy and I are both packrats and my house cleaning skills are sadly lacking. But I watch that show and feel better. My house may not be sparkling clean, but it's picked up. I mean, we do at least shove shit into closets sometimes. Jeez. :D

OMG!

Have y'all seen this?
I'm sorry, but that picture makes MY nails hurt in sympathy! Is it even possible for your nails to hurt? Maybe I'm just having sympathy pains in my nail beds. EGAD. Although I do like the suggestion in the comments to paint the nails like the ghosts in Pac-Man.

Completely off-topic, but this is our brain-damaged, blind kitty named Shoes. He curls up under my chair when I paint my nails. He's the one who's been giving us fits lately, but he really is the sweetest thing ever! I just love the expression on his face in this picture and wanted to share.

Thank you, Jill!!!

So my friend/future sister-in-law, Jill, told me several days ago that she was going to mail me a package of nail polish. I got it today!

BACKSTORY! Jill is my fiance's sister. She is also awesome. I met her when I lived in Nashville. She introduced me to her brother in March of 2007, we dated long distance for a year, then I moved to Georgia to be with him. He and I will be getting hitched in May of this year (awwww).

Anyway, look at all the good stuff she sent me!!
(Also, pardon my junky table -- it's been a hectic couple of days here and I was so excited to take a picture that I didn't bother to clear the junk away.)
